A Day Tour to Hong Island

Second day in Krabi and we decided to visit Hong Island. This place is highly recommended in Tripadvisor so I decided to give a try.
Comparing to other tour, i.e Phi Phi Island or 4 islands (Chicken, Poda, Phranang Cave and Yaowasam), Hong Island is fairly new but gaining its popularity. There are many travel agency in town offering the tours, we have decided to go with Krabi Kingdom though Alan Travel.

After picking all the passengers from different hotels, we departed to Hong Island at Noppharat Beach. The sea was calm and we reached the island about 45 mins.

The snorkeling troupe proceed with their activities while both of us together with 3 passengers went for kayaking. It was a little clumsy in the beginning, trying to get used to the pedaling.

We reached a place called Hong Lagoon. The water level inside the lagoon is only about knee length. We were amazed with the view, we get to see the rock formation real close.Visitors were allowed to go in during the low tide as the entrance will be submerged during the high tides.

We continued our kayaking around the island. We took about an hour to accomplish our mission kayaking around Hong Island. Lunch was prepared by the tour agency.

The trip continued with snorkeling and
swimming at Hong Island and Lading Island. The fish swim near to shore and they are very'friendly'!

We arrived at Noppharat Beach at 4pm. It was an amazing experience to get close with nature and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
